Michael has never had a singing lesson in his life and was looking forward to the experience teaching him, "i found it hard at first when I found out how much experience that a lot of the others have had, it does intimidate me."

21 year old Michael lives in Margaret River, south of Perth. He lives with a flatmate and they have a foosball table as their centrepiece, his flatmate says that Michael is not a very good loser.

"My mum is from Thailand, my dad's english and when i go home they take care of me..." (And they do his washing)

"I guess that when you are up there it is an adrenalyn rush, it puts you on a high for the rest of the day and thats what its all about, feeling good about what you do."
