It was mentioned last week that Marcia went to New Zealand to attend their Idol , so if they have their own one why are there New Zealanders in our Australian competion , so that we can later hear that our Australia Idol is actually a citizen from another country . Lets hope none of the contestants are visitors here on pass ports and not citizens from other countries how red faced will the producers be . I'm pretty sure there are no Australians in the New Zealand Idol . What are your opinions on this ?

But they now call Australia home, you can't expect them to leave just to be in NZ idol...if there was such a problem with it, the producers should stop them from entering in the 1st place...it just feels strange cause there is a NZ idol show happening...and people think 'you should go there'...but if someone who came on and was like born in Iceland and lived here...people would be more accepting cause they don't have Iceland idol (or do they?)...after all Guy was born in Malysia...I would still vote for Emily...that is if Kate was out...
I believe Anne is but Emily isn't, that may effect her chances in the final stages as I do think she will be there in the final three, but I think she is really nice and has a pretty good voice. Go Kate
I wondered if Anne & Emily were Australian citizens. I like both of the girls, but if they're not Australian citizens, then unfortunately they shouldn't be in the competition. Give an Aussie a go.
I actually brought this issue up on another forum, and a few NZ and other island fans accused us of being rascist. Actually I found out you can legally enter on a passport, if you are a resident. I find it so stupid, if someone won the Oz idol and not being an Oz citizen surly would be a sham. Emily has only been hear a few years, not sure about Anne think she is Oz cititzen, I cant see Emily winning because of it, and you certainly can't blame the voters for it. I like Anne and don't mind Emily, it is not their fault it is the rules, however can't understand why she did not go back to NZ and enter it there, surely she would fell more comfortable.
