Kate - Sang it nicely but didn't really infuse it with much personality. A tad boring.
Lee - lost the timing in the change, had the five year olds in the front row dancing but the audience was largely sitting on their bums wondering what the fuss was all about.
Emily - Had the audience up and involved in the first couple of bars - a little flatter than normal maybe. Boring song? Lack of big notes? Key change built it but I think she lost her pitch a bit. Audience loved it more than the others though.
Kate - Better - it had more energy and the audience could get into it a bit more. Still a bit safe and not really anything about it that makes it stand out from any other performer despite trying to make it a bit different at the start with the sillohette. No touchdown performance.
Lee - this is a song I've been saying he should have sung from the beginning to show a little authenticity. His performances seem to have something of 'sameness' about them all I have to say. Starts on stage...comes off down the right hand side...sings to someone in audience...... walks across to the left... comes back up on stage.....ends song. I just can't see this guy putting together an album. What will it be - a collection of old songs done punk style? I hope he gets through though - I can't wait to see him try sing an 'angels brought me here' type song in comparison to a singer like Emily.
Emily - it was like going back to audition time with her unaccompanied start. Showcased that she can hold a tune. There was a bit more light and shade this week. Strange arrangement - it was like they'd chopped a few bits out of the verses or something. Got all her big notes but I felt the arrangement was a bit choppy and it didn't let her really hit her straps. I get the feeling she peaked a few weeks back and the last couple she's been a little off. Still great but not what I remember from a few weeks ago.
Overall - I'm feeling a little over it. None of them sang anything more modern than Britney Spears (1999 if my memory serves me correctly) - none of them did anything truly unique or original.

well i love emily...and i dont really like lee...but he does have some qualities that will further him into the industry...he can sing...he wouldnt be in the top 3...if u heard me say he cant sing...its just because joel aka roxanelover was bagging emily..lol...he has got a pretty awesome personality aswell...but i go for emily and still...but lee has risen for me in the last few weeks...:)
the simple answer is that i drove from melb to canberra last night and when i got here we'd lost 2 hours of voting time, if id put it up the poll would be faulty so i just didnt...
