I have watched Idol from the start and I followed Kate and Emily. Personaly I think they are both outstanding singers and both will do well. At this point the only difference in actually 'winning' other than the 'title' Australian Idol is the car as I am sure Emily will be picked up by a recording company,

What really makes me happy about Kate winning is she was born in Australia, not came here from another country and now calls Australia home, but a born and bred Aussie. She showed the true Aussie battler spirit by trying to enter Idol 3 times before not only being accepted, but acutally winning Idol. Committed to her singing by flying to Queensland for lessons, she has put in the effort and she has received her much deserved prize!

And for those who complain about who won and Emily being cheated, well, remember it is decided by votes, the majority has spoken and a great choice was made! If you didn't vote don't whinge about the outcome, if you did vote and lost, better luck next year!
