Lockdown star to become an idol

STAR of Newcastle’s Lockdown Cabaret Restaurant, Mark Aberle, has set off on the first step of his dream to become a successful recording artist.

The talented youngster from Hamilton entered the Australian Idol top 100 boot camp on June 26.

Mark, lead vocalist and manager of Lockdown, surprised the Idol judges in his audition by singing a song he wrote himself called “It’s Over
